Ancestors In The Trees
Long ago, a time where humans were yet created, in a land where the spiritual dimension joined with the physical plains, a father and his son lived deep in the heart of a hidden meadow. Now these beings were not like the humans of today….The father, a wise and thunderous divinity, with wings that spread to each side of the meadow and legs strong enough to rip the soil from its beds. He had once been taught to create nature with an enchanted exhalation. He spent his seasons teaching his son the secrets of the meadows, beyond and the magic of the stars above.
One day, the father took his son on a journey through the darkest side of the mountain, pointing out the difference in plants and animals, and explaining how they all coexisted together in harmony, connecting beyond the meadows. The son, in awe of his father's knowledge and power, longed to learn how to use his own enchantment to create life.
As they walked deeper into the valleys, the boy saw a beautiful flower that he had never seen before. The son, too naïve to listen to his father's warnings, mesmerized by its beauty, took a deep breath and blew on it, trying to create more of them.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake, and the meadows around them started to wither and die. The boy realized too late that he had disturbed the delicate balance of nature. He turned to his father for help, but only found a frightened and panicked expression on his fathers face.
Not comprehending what had happened, he frantically pushed off the ground and flew towards his father. The father reached out to them, only to be obstructed by the darkest roots of the lands, ensnaring the son’s wings. Despite the rising dangers, his father sliced at the vines, piercing the roots with his iridescent feathers. With fears growing inside the father, he dove deep into the earths to rescue his son.
Seasons later, the son returned to the forest, now grown and with the wingspan width of his father. He sat beneath the tree that had once been his father. As he looked up at the star constellations above, he felt a deep connection to the spiritual dimension, remembering his fathers lessons, once taught. And as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he felt the same magic that had once flowed through his father, now flowing through him…
